Where is a good Place to purchase high quality prints
I am looking to purchase some photos suitable for framing of Great Lakes cargo ships and a print of the Tashmoo. In addition I would like to have a couple of lighthouse prints. Any suggestions of where these can be purchased online?
The source may depend on what era you are looking for. There are several photographers or dealers that typically sell prints are marine marts but they often tend to be of a certain era.
As for the Tashmoo and ships of it's era, the Library of Congress' Detroit Publishing collection has high resolution scans that can be downloaded for free and then taken to your favorite photo shop for printing. Over 30 images came up when I searched on Tashmoo. They have lots of other Great Lakes ships and probably lighthouses as well. But you need to have someone print them.
