Looking for ships my Great Uncles would have sailed on

Looking for information on what ship/ships my Grandma's brothers may have sailed on. Would have likely been around 1940's-?
There last name is Zech.
My Aunt gave me this information:
Uncle Zip (Joseph)was a wheels man, Uncle Sig, Uncle Al, and Uncle Bob (grandma’s twin) were cooks. They were from the Marine City Cottreville area.. Any information or help on where I may look to find more info is greatly appreciated .
P.S. I dont know why or how but the word Pegasus just keeps coming to my mind....it may mean nothing, but just throwing it out there
