Hello,

thanks for the picture, this picture is taken in the open sea. Maybe on her first tour across the atlantic sea. I see  in front of the living quarters, is no paint on the sides, (ligt grey on the picture) the yard had no time to finish the paint job. It was painted later.

Hello, i remember Quebec city, very nice and clean.

I liked the old lower town very much.

When the pandemi is over, my wife and i, should take a trip to Canada for 2 - 3 weeks, and Quebec C is on the time table.

When Joarctic was in Quebec, what was your purpose onboard, i am a little curious. At the time, i was onboard, my job was in the engine.

Joarctic was newbuild in May 1974, leaving the building yard in June, sailed to Finland for jet fuel.

Then to Boston, up to Port Credit On. for oil from the

Texaco plant, who had a fire in 1978 ? i think.

Joarctic was sailing up and down from Port Credit to all small places in the seaway until December, when the seaway was closed for the winter. I must say, it was many nice places i have been seen in this period.

I am looking for pictures of Mt Joarctic, sailing on the Great Lakes in 1974.

Mt Joarctic was build in Norway, Ankerløkken verft,Fredrikstad in 1974.
Tonnage was 7500 tons, and was 106 m long.
Joarctic was breaking up in Alang December 2009

Sistership was Thalassa Desgagnes, built in 1976.

I will looking forward to see any pictures, if there are any.
